The greedy beast is at it again… I have such a hate for PayPal since Ebay got involved and now it looks as though Ebay/PayPal are becoming the greedy beasts of the Internet…
Take a look at this post on www.gripe2ed.com/scoop/story/2006/3/6/8326/75161
When are we all just going to say NO to PayPal?
There are so many alternatives out there now, that we shouldn’t build PayPal for them!

I came to my own conclusions regarding PayPal after my account was hacked last November - and my bank account and credit card were trashed in the middle of Hurricane Wilma. Getting PayPal to reverse the charges is a nightmare. They repeatedly messed it up but SunTrust and Chase cleaned up the accounts almost instantly.
My thing is that even before eBay bought PayPal, they were a mess. I made a purchase through them that I never received then learned the hard way that unlike making a direct payment with my credit card, they would not reverse the charge. I lost maybe $100 and did not even try PayPal again until eBay bought them.
Unfortunately, I don’t think they are any better now.

Wow! I just read a post that says, “Are you kidding”
most people know about PayPal and are only upset when PayPal gets them… ( not an exact quote )
So the $5,535.00 that they just froze and are keeping of my companys money, and the fact that I still do refunds ( but how? ) and pay affiliates… even though PayPal AUP has shut me down because I’m an MLM????? What? I have sent 8 emails and made 4 phone calls asking what THAT is about… no one it seems can comment on when I’ll get my money other than we can legally keep your money for 6 months…
Ouch! I have many, many websites that are down now as PayPal was my payment processor, now I’m scrambling to have a way to provide refunds… hey they happen and we honor the requests… as well as get the sites back up…
No warning, no NOTHING - just BAM! We have your money and we’re keeping it for 6 months and we’ve shut you down and didn’t feel the need to tell you we were doing it - enjoy your day.
Ouch!
Oh… I’m Paul Darby by the way, and this is the first time I’ve publicly posted a complaint like this, however I examined my motives, I tried to reach a conclusion with them first, and I’m not a hater…
Just another business that got the PayPal - punch.

I’m on the other end, I’m a buyer (one your customers) and paypal has frozen account without prior warning or reason given. I have to fax documents from New Zealand and the fax number on the cover sheet is incorrect according our phone company.
I have tried to contacted paypal via thier support, email and phone several times to no avail.
Now I would love to shut paypal down but thier a certain vendors from whom I attempted to buy products who take no other form of payment and have notified me of this by email.
I really think marketers should wake up to the fact that are losing a lot of money by not accepting alternative forms of payment.
